Literature Course
Course description
This course will introduce the three genres and most important concepts of literature to first year students. Poetry, fiction and drama will be defined in terms of structure, techniques and themes. Samples of each genre will then provide students with pertinent examples and allow them to practice what they learn in class. Each course will combine the study of structural, stylistic and thematic elements of the genre in question.
Aims:
-Introducing main literary genres and their theoretical concepts
-Introducing main literary trends and movements and their development
-Learning key strategies for the analysis of literary texts
